Miranda is the lead photographer and owner of Miranda Laine Photography. She has specialized in photographing weddings since 2006. After graduating from Texas State University with a degree in fine art photography she started her career working as a news photojournalist and then she fell in love with documenting wedding stories. Her style of work is the perfect blend of art and photojournalism and capturing those in-between candid, real moments is her specialty.
Choosing your photographer is one of the most important decisions you will make when planning your wedding, I am honored to be considered. I have been documenting weddings as my primary profession for the past 16 years. Full documentation of your wedding day is important to truly capture the day start to finish, this is why we will recommend at least 8-10 hours of coverage.
I accept a limited number of weddings each year to ensure the best service to my clients.
What makes your work different from other photographer's work?
A.Experience. I have over 16 years of experience photographing weddings. It's something you simply can't get from reading books or watching videos. I work very unobtrusively, this is so important. In my opinion, your wedding should naturally take place and I want to be there, ready to capture it all in a respectful and subtle way. A wedding not a styled shoot or film production, it's one of the most memorable days of your life and it should be treated as such.
My blended background of fine art and photojournalism helps give my work a unique and distinctive style. My goal for your wedding photographs is to be timeless and relevant, now and in 50+ years.
We're having a destination wedding, do you travel?
A.Yes, I have been lucky to travel all over photographing weddings. Please send me more information on your travel plans and I will create a custom package to suit your needs.
How many photographers will be at our wedding?
A.Myself and second photographer will be present for most weddings. If a third is required due to the size or logistics of the day we will make that determination and plan accordingly.
Do you offer video services?
A.I am not currently offering video for weddings. Still photography is my focus at this time. But I can recommend some great companies for you!
Do you have a list of preferred vendors?
A.I do. From wedding coordinators to florists and caterers, I have worked with the best in the industry and will be happy to share their information with you. This especially applies to videographers-please let me help you find a great match!
